Sunday must have been a very powerful and wonderful time in God’s presence if you did make it to church. But most times after a wonderful Sunday service, Monday confronts you with the realities of life. Monday comes like a 'horning' truck loaded with daily struggles in all aspects of life; finance, health or simply living the “Christian” life in a reality of a very sinful world. When I spend time in church, in the atmosphere of God’s presence I leave with a sense of zeal and confidence, that feeling of assurance that things has changed for the better, the feeling of transformation but sometimes when I encounter the everyday trails and temptations everything just fizzles down. If you’re like me you’ve been or you are currently in a similar situation this piece will be helpful to you.
The Bible declares and I believe that “...the just shall live by his faith [Habakkuk 2:4 nkjv]”, my paraphrased version of that scripture is the person in right standing before God thrives in everyday life by a loyal and stable trust in God. Every born-again believer will meet with Jesus face to face at the end of our physical existence but until then we have a life here on earth to live, love and serve Him with and in doing so we must live by a loyal and stable trust in God. So the question is, How do I live everyday in the diffusive power of God’s presence? or How do I make everyday feel like its Sunday?
1. Create a hotspot
Do you know why church feels different from house? Simple, everybody including yourself has come to an agreement to meet with God at a particular place and time. For you to have such experience on a daily basis you need to set out time and a particular place to fellowship with God in prayer, worship, reading and studying the Word of God. It can be 15 minutes, an hour or even more pending on your daily schedule. The best time for this is first thing in the morning because if you can give God the first moments of the day, He posses the rest [Psalm 63:1, Mark 1:35-37 nkjv]
2. The atmosphere of worship
Develop the habit of listening or singing to gospel music on the go . Worship songs tune your spirit, soul and body to the presence of God. God is actively present in the atmosphere of praise and worship [Psalm 22:3]. When you’re filled with the presence of God you carry inside of you power to conquer trials.
3. Active faith
When you feel weak and you can’t go-on just put your faith into action by declaring the Word of God on that issue with confidence and believe. In addition confess you desired reality until you see it appear. For example you need a help with your finances just declare simple but powerful confessions based on the Word of God like Haggai 2:8, Psalm 23:1, “The Lord is my Shepherd, I shall not lack. My Father God owns silver and gold and He is in charge of my life therefore lack has no place in my life. Everything I need be available right now! in the name of Jesus”
4. Work! Work! Work!
Until you act on the instructions, principles and counsels you heard during service the blessing part of it can’t work [James 1:22]. Attend every church service prepared to receive instructions and be ready to put them into practise for maximum result.
